Grimdark Compendium is a U.S.-based manufacturer and retailer of physical hobby supplies, founded in 2016 by Kendon Oates, known in the miniature painting community as Zatcaskagoon. The business was established to design, produce, and distribute purpose-built products for miniature painters working in grimdark and atmospheric styles.

From its inception, Grimdark Compendium has focused on hands-on product formulation, testing, and production, emphasizing reliability, consistency, and real-world usability. As the business has grown, we have expanded our production and fulfillment capabilities to support large-scale manufacturing and distribution, allowing us to reliably supply customers, retailers, and partners.

Today, Grimdark Compendium specializes in the production and fulfillment of handmade Villainy Ink enamel paints, weathering liquids, and related physical hobby products. Our products are manufactured in the United States using controlled processes that support both scalable output and consistent quality, and are shipped directly to customers worldwide.

In addition to physical products, Grimdark Compendium offers optional educational content designed to support the correct and safe use of our materials. This instructional content is provided as a supplement to our product line.

We operate as an independent business serving customers globally, with physical product fulfillment handled directly from our South Carolina facility.

All physical products are shipped from the United States and are subject to our published Shipping, Refund & Return, and Safety policies.
