necrons in the grimdark style
Here’s our recipe for the Necrons in the Grimdark style using wax based metals and liquid chrome for a highly realistic metal effect.
Note/Update 2025: This tutorial utilizes the original formula of the wax-based AK True Metals paints, which unfortunately now behave different with a new formulation. What you see in this tutorial may not be perfectly replicable with the latest formulation.

Im having issues seeing the video for this. Logged in, said it part of free membership. Signed up for that still don’t see it and disabled pop up blocker. I watched a video a while back when part used to be on youtube and was subbed. Basically I’m just looking for the the green recipe as it replicates the perfect color green I’m looking for. The green recipe might bee in a different video if I remember. I do think I think I remember Biel-Tan Green being a part of this.
The free content is the Learn Grimdark course. This Necron course is not part of the Learn Grimdark Course.
Thanks for the course, I’ll try it asap. Is there a place to share the work? On the Discord group I suppose?
Long live to Grimdark Compendium ❤️
have you tried laquer instead of oils? since it should be chemically close, I wondered whether ist would have the same difficulties when buffing
